Our Workshops
AI 101 for Educators is designed to move teachers from “AI anxiety” to “AI fluency.” It explains what artificial intelligence is, understand its importance and simplifies the jargon of AI. Teachers will understand how Large Language Models actually function, and identify the critical role of the Human-in-the-Loop, all set in a Philippine context.
AI in the Classroom: Empowering Teachers for the Future is designed to equip educators with the knowledge and practical skills to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into teaching and learning. This program explores how AI can transform lesson planning, assessment, and personalized learning, while fostering critical thinking and digital literacy among students.
Participants will explore practical applications of AI in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and student engagement. Through hands-on activities, case studies, and collaborative discussions, educators will gain insights into ethical considerations, data privacy, and the responsible use of AI in education.
This module strips away technology to focus on the craft of excellent teaching. Teachers will learn to design lessons starting with clear end goals, develop aligned objectives, map the student learning journey, select high-impact active strategies, and create authentic assessments. The emphasis is on clarity, coherence, and intentionality– building a strong “blueprint” that drives meaningful learning.
With a solid blueprint in place, this module introduces AI as a high-speed assistant to enhance lesson planning. Teachers will learn how to use AI to generate differentiated activities, contextualized examples, and tailored learning materials aligned to their objectives. The focus is on increasing efficiency while ensuring that all outputs remain anchored in the teacher’s pedagogical intent.
In this final module, teachers use AI to strengthen assessment and feedback practices. They will learn to create aligned assessment tools (formative and summative), develop rubrics, and generate timely, actionable feedback. More importantly, teachers will use assessment data to adjust instruction and respond to learner needs–closing the loop between planning, teaching, and learning.
This module equips teachers with practical guidelines for the responsible, safe, and ethical use of AI in teaching. It focuses on key principles such as protecting student data and privacy, ensuring accuracy and avoiding bias, promoting academic integrity, and maintaining the teacher’s professional judgment in all AI-assisted work. Teachers will engage in simple, classroom-based scenarios to identify risks and make sound decisions when using AI for lesson planning, assessment, and feedback. The module emphasizes clear protocols– what to use, what to avoid, and how to guide students in responsible AI use.
By the end of the session, teachers will be able to apply concrete safeguards and establish classroom norms and routines that ensure AI supports learning without compromising fairness, academic integrity, accountability, and learner well-being.
This module helps teachers use AI to make learning more active, engaging, and responsive to diverse learners. It focuses on practical strategies such as generating interactive activities, discussion prompts, real-life scenarios, and differentiated tasks that encourage participation and deeper understanding. Teachers will learn how to use AI to support established active learning approaches–such as collaborative work, inquiry- based tasks, visual thinking routines, and formative checks for understanding – without adding complexity to their teaching. Emphasis is placed on keeping students at the center of the learning process while using AI to reduce preparation time and expand instructional options.
Through guided practice, teachers will create ready-to-use classroom materials and strategies that promote engagement, participation, and meaningful learning. The goal is to ensure that AI is used not just for efficiency, but to improve how students experience and engage with learning.
This module moves away from outdated punitive models of discipline by providing a practical, modern approach to classroom management. It emphasizes building a classroom where clear structure enables student freedom, allowing learning to happen in a focused and respectful environment. Teachers will learn the principles of proactive management, including setting clear expectations, establishing consistent routines, and using simple strategies to prevent disruptions before they occur. The module highlights how to de-escalate challenging behaviors early and maintain the flow of instruction without relying on reactive discipline.
Shifting from “controlling” students to managing the learning environment, teachers will develop strategies to build a culture of high expectations grounded in consistency, fairness, and clear communication. Through real classroom scenarios and guided practice, teachers will create ready-to-implement routines and management strategies that promote respect, engagement, and productive learning–ensuring that classrooms remain both orderly and supportive of student growth.
This hands-on module helps teachers transform Excel from a daunting spreadsheet into a practical tool for everyday teaching tasks. Designed especially for those with limited confidence technology, it focuses on simple, high-impact skills that immediately reduce workload and improve efficiency. Teachers will learn how to use essential features such as basic formulas, conditional formatting, and simple automation to create organized class records and compute grades accurately. The module also introduces easy ways to track and visualize student performance using charts and tables, helping teachers quickly identify learning gaps and monitor progress.
Through guided, step-by-step activities, teachers will build their own ready-to-use gradebooks and tracking tools. Emphasis is placed on saving time, minimizing manual work, and using data to support more targeted instruction.
By the end of the session, teachers will be more confident in using Excel as a reliable “teaching assistant” that supports both classroom management and student learning.
The AFLT Program is designed to strengthen educators’ capacity in teaching Financial Literacy incorporating Innovative Teaching Techniques in the classroom. It contains three modules: Savings & Debt, Investing & Asset Creation, Risk & Financial Planning that can each be completed in approximately 2-3 hours. Each module has an assessment exam. Passing the exams will lead them to receiving the AFLT designation.
